EcoFlow DELTA 3 vs DELTA 3 Plus: which one to buy
Two EcoFlow power stations with the same battery and the same output. We line up every figure the maker publishes and show the few that differ.
Buy the EcoFlow DELTA 3 for home backup. In an outage the two are the same: the same battery, the same output and the same verdict against a refrigerator for an 8-hour working-day outage, “Clears the best case only”. The EcoFlow DELTA 3 Plus adds solar input, 1,000 W against 500 W, and faster USB-C ports. Pay for it only if you will refill from a big solar array.

Side by side, from the makers’ own documents
“Not listed by the maker” means the maker pages we read do not state it. It is not a zero, and we never fill it from a sibling model. “No verified listing” means no Amazon listing for the bare unit matched the bare unit by name, battery and output yet.

Same outage runtime for less

The EcoFlow DELTA 3 runs a fridge exactly as long as the Plus: same battery, same output, same surge. It keeps the extra-battery port, so you can add capacity later. Against a refrigerator for an 8-hour working-day outage it reads “Clears the best case only”.
Our rule: the cheapest unit that covers a typical day of this plan (670 Wh).
One charge covers a typical day of this plan (about 670 Wh). A hard-working refrigerator/freezer may need up to about 2,800 Wh.

More solar input

The EcoFlow DELTA 3 Plus takes 1,000 W of solar across two inputs and has faster USB-C ports. It also works with EcoFlow's desktop software for UPS setup. Against a refrigerator for an 8-hour working-day outage it reads “Clears the best case only”, the same as the EcoFlow DELTA 3.
No Amazon listing for the bare unit has matched the bare unit by name, battery and output, so this page has no price or buy link for it.

Buying it right
A search for these models returns bundles, sibling models and the same unit under two prices. We link only a listing whose own title states the bare unit with its exact battery and output. Match the model number on the label to this page. How we check a listing.
- EcoFlow DELTA 3: we link the bare unit, checked October 3, 2026. We turned down 9 other listings (bundles, sibling models, repeats); see which and why.
- EcoFlow DELTA 3 Plus: no Amazon listing passed our check, so there is no Amazon link. What we turned down.
What this page can’t promise
Nothing here was tested by us. Every spec is EcoFlow's own, read off its product pages and manual. EcoFlow's DELTA 3 page once served spec figures identical to the Plus's; we list only what each page states for its own model.
Questions people ask
Is the DELTA 3 Plus worth it over the DELTA 3?
Only for solar. The EcoFlow DELTA 3 Plus takes 1,000 W of panels against 500 W and has faster USB-C ports. The battery, the output and the outage runtime are the same.
Do both take an extra battery?
Yes. EcoFlow lists an extra-battery port on both. The DELTA 3 Classic is the one without it.
How long will either one run a fridge?
The same time, because the battery is the same. For a refrigerator for an 8-hour working-day outage, a newer fridge in a cool room needs about 160 watt-hours and either unit covers it. An older fridge in a warm kitchen needs up to 2,800, and neither does on one charge.
