Which EcoFlow power station should you buy?
Of the 11 EcoFlow power stations Amazon sells as a bare unit (prices checked October 3, 2026), the DELTA 3 Max costs the least per usable kilowatt-hour, $505, and the RIVER 3 Plus the most, $1,148.
The Amazon links on this page are affiliate links: if you buy through one we may earn a commission, at no extra cost to you. It does not change which units are picked. How that works.
Our pick for each job
- Lowest cost per usable kWh
DELTA 3 Max$879 at Amazon - Easy to carry (under 30 lb)
DELTA 3 Classic$499 at Amazon - Keep a fridge running for a day
DELTA 3 Ultra$1,349 at Amazon - Run heavy appliances
DELTA Pro 3$2,799 at Amazon
Each pick follows a stated rule, run on today’s prices and the maker’s figures: Lowest cost per usable kWh: the lowest Amazon price per usable kilowatt-hour today; Easy to carry (under 30 lb): the most usable battery among models under 30 lb; Keep a fridge running for a day: the lowest price among models whose usable battery covers a typical fridge for 24 hours and whose peak output covers at least the lower end of a fridge's starting draw; Run heavy appliances: the most continuous output; a tie goes to the lower price. Nothing here was tested by us.
Every EcoFlow power station on Amazon, compared
EcoFlow sells two families on Amazon. RIVER is the small one you carry. DELTA is the one that runs a fridge. Inside DELTA, the number is the generation (2 or 3) and the word after it is the size: Classic, Plus, Max, Ultra, Pro.

Usable = 85% of the battery size, the share we assume for every unit on this site. Per usable kWh = the Amazon price divided by usable kilowatt-hours. “Not listed by the maker” means the maker pages we read do not state it. It is not a zero, and we never fill it from a sibling model. Small numbers are sources, listed at the foot of the page. Prices are for the bare unit on Amazon, checked October 3, 2026; we keep no price history. Tap a column name to sort.
Which DELTA 3 is which
Four models hold the same 1,024 Wh battery and the same 1,800 W output: the DELTA 3 Classic, DELTA 3 and DELTA 3 Plus, plus the older DELTA 2. What changes is charging and growth. The Classic has the lowest wall input of the three DELTA 3 models (1,400 W against 1,500 W). EcoFlow lists an extra battery, up to 5 kWh, for the DELTA 3 and DELTA 3 Plus; we did not find one for the Classic. The Plus doubles solar input to 1,000 W.
Max means 2,048 Wh. The Max Plus keeps that battery and raises output from 2,400 W to 3,000 W. Ultra means 3,072 Wh and 3,600 W. The Ultra Plus adds more solar input and a path to 11 kWh. Pro 3 is the big one: 4,096 Wh, 4,000 W, and 120 or 240 V.
So pick the size first (1, 2, 3 or 4 kWh), then the cheapest version that has the one extra you need.
How to read the numbers
Battery is the maker's rated size. Usable is 85% of that, because some energy is lost turning battery power into wall power. We use the same 85% for every brand, so the rows compare fairly.
Cost per usable kWh is the Amazon price divided by usable kilowatt-hours. Lower is better value for the battery. It does not count output, charging speed or weight, so read the other columns too.
UPS switchover is how fast the station takes over when the grid drops. Under about 20 ms keeps most computers and routers on. EcoFlow states 10 ms for most DELTA 3 models and about 30 ms for the older DELTA 2.
What a fridge needs
Our typical full-size fridge uses about 2,000 Wh a day. That is the middle of our range; an older fridge in a warm kitchen can use far more. On one charge, a 1 kWh DELTA runs a typical fridge for about 10 hours and a 2 kWh Max for about 21 hours. Only the 3 kWh and larger models cover a full typical day. That is why the fridge pick above is one of them.
If you only need a fridge through one night, a 1 kWh DELTA can do it, with solar or a wall outlet to top it up the next day. The planner will size your own fridge and hours.
How long each one takes to refill from solar
Hours of full sun to put the usable battery back, at the maker’s maximum solar input and with 400 W of panels. Real panels deliver less than their rating, and a winter day has fewer full-sun hours, so treat these as the best case.
| Model | Max solar input | At max input | With 400 W of panels |
|---|---|---|---|
| RIVER 3 Plus | 220 W1 | 1.1 h | 1.1 h |
| DELTA 3 Classic | 500 W3 | 1.7 h | 2.2 h |
| DELTA 3 | 500 W5 | 1.7 h | 2.2 h |
| DELTA 2 (EFD330) | 500 W7 | 1.7 h | 2.2 h |
| DELTA 3 Max | not listed by the maker | — | — |
| DELTA 3 Max Plus | not listed by the maker | — | — |
| DELTA 2 Max | 1,000 W11 | 1.7 h | 4.4 h |
| DELTA 3 Ultra | 800 W15 | 3.3 h | 6.5 h |
| DELTA 3 Ultra Plus | 1,600 W17 | 1.6 h | 6.5 h |
| DELTA Pro | 1,600 W21 | 1.9 h | 7.7 h |
| DELTA Pro 3 | 2,600 W23 | 1.3 h | 8.7 h |
Hours = usable watt-hours / solar watts. With 400 W of panels, a unit whose maximum is below 400 W is held to its maximum.
Buying the right listing
A search for these models on Amazon returns more than the bare unit. For the 11 models above we checked 105 other listings and turned them all down: 48 other models that came up in the search; 39 bundles with panels, bags or cables; 10 sibling models with an extra word in the name; 4 second listings of the same unit; 3 listings whose title did not match our figures; 1 accessories that name the model. We link only a listing whose own title names the bare unit with our battery and output figures. Each model page lists what we turned down and why. Before you buy, match the model name on the listing to the row above.
Not in the table, and why
- RIVER 3: Amazon's RIVER 3 listing states 550 W; the EcoFlow page we captured states 300 W. We link it when the two agree.
- RIVER 3 Max: Sold on Amazon as a RIVER 3 Plus with the EB300 extra battery in the box (572 Wh together), per the listing. See the RIVER 3 Plus row.
- TRAIL 200 DC, TRAIL 300 DC: DC only. They have no AC outlets, so they cannot run anything with a wall plug.
- RIVER 2 and DELTA Pro Ultra: Not in the makers’ figures yet.
Questions people ask
What is the difference between the EcoFlow DELTA 3 and DELTA 3 Plus?
They have the same 1,024 Wh battery and 1,800 W output. The DELTA 3 Plus takes 1,000 W of solar input, twice the DELTA 3, and EcoFlow rates both at about 10 ms UPS switchover. Buy the Plus only if you will charge from solar panels.
Which EcoFlow can run a refrigerator?
Every DELTA model can start a typical fridge. For a full day on one charge you need about 2,000 Wh usable, which means a 3 kWh model: DELTA 3 Ultra, DELTA 3 Ultra Plus, DELTA Pro or DELTA Pro 3. A 2 kWh DELTA 3 Max runs a typical fridge for about 21 hours.
Which EcoFlow has 240 V?
Of the models in this table, only the DELTA Pro 3 lists 120 V and 240 V output. A 240 V load such as a well pump, or any connection to your home's wiring, needs an inlet or transfer switch installed by a licensed electrician.
Is the older DELTA 2 still worth buying?
Only when it costs less than the DELTA 3. It has the same battery and output, but EcoFlow states a slower switchover of about 30 ms and it takes one extra battery. Compare the two prices in the table on the day you buy.
