Which EcoFlow DELTA 3? The whole family, judged against one plan
Several boxes wear the DELTA 3 badge. The plain DELTA 3, the Plus and the Classic hold the same battery at three prices. Judged against a refrigerator for an 8-hour working-day outage, the EcoFlow DELTA 3 Classic (1024Wh) is the default buy in this family, unless you will add a battery.
Buy the EcoFlow DELTA 3 Classic (1024Wh). In an outage it matches the EcoFlow DELTA 3 and the EcoFlow DELTA 3 Plus: the same battery, the same output and the same verdict against a refrigerator for an 8-hour working-day outage, “Clears the best case only”, and it costs the least. What it gives up is the extra-battery port: buy the EcoFlow DELTA 3 if you will add a battery later. Pay more for the EcoFlow DELTA 3 Plus only if you will run a big solar array: it takes 1,000 W of panels against 500 W.

Who this is for
You have already settled on EcoFlow and on the DELTA 3 shelf, and what you want now is to know which one, and what the extra money actually buys. The plan on this page is deliberately narrow: a refrigerator for an 8-hour working-day outage, one fridge running by itself, nothing else on the circuit. If your question is DELTA 3, Plus or Classic, or Ultra or not, read on.
Side by side, from the makers’ own documents
“Not listed by the maker” means the maker pages we read do not state it. It is not a zero, and we never fill it from a sibling model. “No verified listing” means no Amazon listing for the bare unit matched the bare unit by name, battery and output yet.

Against the same plan
A refrigerator for an 8-hour working-day outage, sized on the harder end of every range.
Start with what does not change. The EcoFlow DELTA 3, the EcoFlow DELTA 3 Plus and the EcoFlow DELTA 3 Classic (1024Wh) carry the same battery, output and surge. The money between them buys no capacity.
It buys inputs and paperwork. The Plus takes twice the solar of the other two. The plain DELTA 3 and the Plus have an extra-battery port; the Classic has none on the maker pages we read. The DELTA 3 and the Plus carry a five-year warranty on EcoFlow's pages; the Classic's is three years, or five if you register it in the app.

|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Refrigerator/freezer | 8 | 100–700 | 20–50% | 160–2,800 Wh | 100% |
Energy = running watts × duty cycle × hours, at each end of the range. The right-hand end of every row is what the plan is sized on.

Same nominal battery, same continuous output, same surge, a hair lighter, and a verified listing well under the Plus's. What it gives up is inputs: half the solar ceiling and, by every account we could find, no extra-battery port at all. Whether it would accept the Plus's expansion accessory is a gap in our research rather than a confirmed no, but reviewers flag the missing port as this unit's most common complaint.
Our rule: the cheapest unit that covers a typical day of this plan (670 Wh).
One charge covers a typical day of this plan (about 670 Wh). A hard-working refrigerator/freezer may need up to about 2,800 Wh.
Price as of October 3, 2026; the listing we verified as the bare unit.
A refrigerator for an 8-hour working-day outage:
- Energyonly in the best case
- Running loadyes, even in the worst case
- Starting surgeRefrigerator/freezer: starts it
What you give up: The expansion port. There is no growing this one: when it runs out it runs out, and the solar ceiling means you cannot brute-force a faster refill with more panels either.

Same battery, keeps the extra-battery port

$599 at Amazon, October 3, 20261,024 Wh (870 usable)1,800 W continuous3,600 W peak28 lb
The EcoFlow DELTA 3 has the same battery, output and surge as the Plus, and it keeps the extra-battery port, so you can grow it later. What it gives up is the Plus's wider solar input and faster USB-C ports, which do nothing for a fridge in an outage. Against a refrigerator for an 8-hour working-day outage it reads “Clears the best case only”, the same as the Plus and the Classic.

A refrigerator for an 8-hour working-day outage:

What you give up: Solar headroom. It takes 500 W of solar against the Plus's 1,000 W.

More solar input, same battery

1,024 Wh (870 usable)1,800 W continuous3,600 W peak28 lb
The EcoFlow DELTA 3 Plus is the same battery and output as the EcoFlow DELTA 3 with wider inputs: 1,000 W of solar against 500 W, and faster USB-C ports. Against a refrigerator for an 8-hour working-day outage it reads “Clears the best case only”, no better than the EcoFlow DELTA 3. Buy it if you will refill from a large solar array during long outages.
No Amazon listing for the bare unit has matched the bare unit by name, battery and output, so this page has no price or buy link for it.

What you give up: The premium. You pay more than the EcoFlow DELTA 3 for the same battery and the same output.

The EcoFlow DELTA 3 Ultra Plus (3072Wh) is the reach: three times the battery of the Plus and twice its continuous output, with the widest solar input we have recorded in this family, which shortens a refill rather than stretching a runtime. In our data it shares its battery and output with the plain DELTA 3 Ultra and beats it on solar and on extra batteries: only the Ultra Plus takes them. It still reads “Clears the best case only” here, because the worst case is a long way out.

A refrigerator for an 8-hour working-day outage:

What you give up: Weight. It is more than double the Plus on the scale, a two-hand lift at best and not something you carry upstairs.

Buying it right
A search for these models returns bundles, sibling models and the same unit under two prices. We link only a listing whose own title states the bare unit with its exact battery and output. Match the model number on the label to this page. How we check a listing.
- EcoFlow DELTA 3 Classic (1024Wh): we link the bare unit, checked October 3, 2026. We turned down 9 other listings (bundles, sibling models, repeats); see which and why.

What this page can’t promise
This page cannot tell you which end of that range your own fridge sits on, and that is the question deciding whether any of these is enough.
Nothing here was tested by us. The spec figures are EcoFlow's own, read off its pages and manuals; what owners and reviewers found is labelled as theirs. Where a marketing page and its manual disagree, and here they do more than once, we say so rather than quote the better number.
Questions people ask
What's the difference between the EcoFlow DELTA 3 and the DELTA 3 Classic?
They share the same battery, output and surge. The EcoFlow DELTA 3 Classic (1024Wh) has no extra-battery port on the maker pages we read, takes a little less from the wall and costs less. Our DELTA 3 Classic vs DELTA 3 page sets them side by side.
Should I buy the DELTA 3 or the DELTA 3 Plus?
For home backup, the EcoFlow DELTA 3 Classic (1024Wh), unless you will add a battery; then the EcoFlow DELTA 3. In an outage they match: same battery, same output, same verdict. The EcoFlow DELTA 3 Plus takes 1,000 W of solar against 500 W and has faster USB-C ports. Our DELTA 3 vs DELTA 3 Plus page lists every difference.
Is the DELTA 3 Ultra worth it over the Plus?
Take the EcoFlow DELTA 3 Ultra Plus (3072Wh) if a full day, not one working shift, is the real target: it has three times the battery of the EcoFlow DELTA 3 and closes more of the gap toward the worst case. For a refrigerator for an 8-hour working-day outage, the small units cover the same best case and weigh far less.
Will any of these actually keep my fridge running for a full outage?
“Clears the best case only” is the honest label on every one. Each covers the best case for this plan, an efficient fridge, a cool room, the door kept shut, and none of them clears the worst case on a single charge. If your fridge runs harder than that, plan on a recharge, solar input or a bigger unit regardless of which DELTA 3 you buy.
What about the DELTA 3 Max and DELTA 3 Max Plus, are they better than the Plus?
We cannot say yet. For both we have read only the maker's product page. Solar input for both and weight for the Max Plus are not on it, and a missing figure is not a zero. Until we read those two pages to the same depth as the Plus, the Classic and the EcoFlow DELTA 3 Ultra Plus (3072Wh), we will not rank them on this page.
Can you add an extra battery to the DELTA 3 Classic?
We found no extra-battery port for it on EcoFlow's product page, support page or manual, and reviewers name that as its most common complaint. The EcoFlow DELTA 3 and the EcoFlow DELTA 3 Plus both take one.
